PhRMA
The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) represents the leading research-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the United states, which are devoted to inventing medicines that allow patients to live longer, healthier, and more productive lives. The industry invested an estimated $33.2 billion in 2003 in discovering and developing new medicines. PhRMA companies are leading the way in the search for new cures. In 2002 the companies invested more that $32 billion in discovering and developing new medicines, marking the 32nd straight year the industry has increased its investment in R&D. PhRMA’s mission is to conduct effective advocacy for public policies that encourage discovery of important new medicines for patients by pharmaceutical/biotechnology research companies.

THE OPC FOUNDATION
The OPC Foundation is an industry initiative supported by a number of technology companies (including Microsoft) to promote interoperability between PC software applications in process industries. Automsoft actively promotes OPC standards and has implemented the OPC specifications across the RAPID product suite. Automsoft are members of the OPC HDA & XML committees.

INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR PHARMACEUTICAL ENGINEERING
The ISPE has a membership of 14,000 healthcare technology professionals in over 60 countries. It is committed to advancing the educational and technical efficiency of its members through forums for the exchange of ideas and practical experience. Automsoft employees are members of the ISPE and are active participants in society-sponsored events and seminars.
